The World’s Most Advanced, Fully Automatic Fire Fighting Monitor
The Problem
Fire grows exponentially quickly. To have a chance to prevent serious loss of property and life, it is crucial to detect the fire immediately, and immediately suppress or extinguish it.
Traditional fire fighting systems typically result in late detection of a fire and/or significant delays before a fire fighter or other system can begin extinguishing the fire. Very often, by that time the fire has been detected and begins to be suppressed, the fire has caused significant damage and/or loss of life, and may be completely out of control.
The Solution
Rapid detection, coupled with rapid, high-flow suppression, is the key to maximizing the chances of successfully fighting a fire—before it spreads out of control.
Enter FlameRanger.
FlameRanger is an intelligent robotic nozzle (fire monitor / water cannon), which is combined with flame detectors.
The moment a fire breaks out, the system automatically aims the robotic nozzle directly at the fire and suppresses it with a high volume of water or foam. The system moves dynamically with the fire, updating 10 times per second, aiming the water just like a human fire fighter would with a joystick. Typically water is on the flames within 15 seconds of ignition.
The system is designed for automatic, round-the-clock fire protection of large spaces, including:
- Waste-to-Energy Plants & Waste Bunkers
- Recycling Plants
- Biomass Storage & Processing Facilities
- Aircraft Hangars
- Atriums
- Historical Buildings
- Tunnels
- Naval Vessels – in Large Volume Spaces
- Ro-Ro Ship Weather Decks
- Helicopter Landing Pads (Helidecks)
- Oil & Gas facilities
- Manufacturing Plants
- … and other large spaces that require rapid fire protection
